Bio

I am Donna, a female social worker in my mid-40s, married, with no children.  Often, I consider my work, my clients, and my 2 “used” cats to be my children.  Our cats, Calypso and Gingerbread, were both adopted from the SPCA about 10 years ago, just shortly before my late-age marriage to long-time friend Tom.  Tom has retired from Delphi (GM) and now drives a school bus part time.

We live in a suburb of Buffalo, NY, and are both into animal advocacy, metal detecting, the casino, and certain favorite TV shows — including The Simpsons, House, and Extreme Makeover—Home Edition.  We like to travel when we can, and are into frequenting Harrahs casinos all over the country.   They tend to take good care of us because we have been loyal to them.

We also belong to Ten Lives Cat Club, a no-kill shelter in the Southtowns, and we are regular donors to the Humane Society of the US.

Unfortunately, through the years my weight has climbed, making it increasingly difficult to enjoy many aspects of our lives together.  Tom has been left to bike and walk alone, and I have been more and more limited in even traveling and everyday outings.

Hence gastric bypass surgery, despite the soul searching, angst, and pain involved.

I want my life back, and Tom wants his partner back. It is time!
