I intend this blog, Necessary Mutilation, to be the best (and perhaps only) one on the Internet that captures the entire emotional and physical journey and process of having an open Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery — including the before, during, and after. I also plan to maintain this blog’s focus on that topic and not wander off into other areas.
