Up, Up And Away

Weight: 210.8 lbs.

My weight has managed to creep back up, although my intake hasn’t. I know that I was bad on Monday and perhaps it is just now catching up with me, but yesterday, I got right back on track and figured I’d start back down, not more up! I am wondering if I blew it by having Campbells’ split pea soup after dinner last night, as this is very high in sodium. See, I ate “normally” all day - eggs for breakfast, diet cheese sticks and some cashews at my desk at work, a hamburger patty with a slice of cheese and some tomato for dinner. And, I put a pan of soup on low simmer to accompany the burger. It was late and Tom had eaten without me earlier, as I didn’t get home from work til nearly 7:00. Anyway, I ate some of my burger (and gave Tom the remainder), oh, and a slice of high protein whole wheat bread.

Then, I sat around, caught up with Tom, watched some tv, and heard Tom yelling from the kitchen.

I had forgotten all about my soup, and it was still “cooking,” over an hour later, on the stove! All glumpy and congealed, but my favorite type, nonetheless. So, I ate it! At like 8:30. I may as well have devoured the contents of a salt shaker. I am assuming this is the source of my sudden gain - and hope so ’cause then I can apply Debra’s principals of cell flushing, and lose back down soon, I hope.

God, I am losing so much TIME with all this yo yoing though. In the latest episode of Ruby, she gains 4 lbs., and she says that the first thing she thinks of when she does this is that she wasted time that she could have used to lose instead.

I am starting to think that I will still be over 200 come my year anniversary. April 28th. That’s not that far off anymore. I’d better get cracking or something!

The interesting thing about my current weight juncture too, is that I will lose both 100 lbs. AND down past 200, at around the same time. Plus, this will put me at a weight that is finally below my husband’s! Currently, he is around 198. I would love to reach all these milestones, although so close, they keep seeming very far, as well. It’s almost March, for christsakes!

So…in my renewed efforts, I will have to follow all the often discussed “rules” here, AND, “no more soup for you!” Meaning ME! High sodium soup, anyway. Assuming this is the culprit.

Sigh…!
