Necessary Mutilation

I had a subject in my mind to write about today, but given the scary state of our weather at the moment, have scrapped that thought so I can write quick and turn the power off even quicker as I fear the computer will be struck by lightening if I stay on much longer! It is wierd and scary out - very dark, thundering and lightening, and pouring like a son-of -a b****. I got out of work early as some of my clients cancelled, and drove home at the peak of it, it seems. Tomorrow we are due for serious lake effect snows and high winds, and if it snows as hard as it has rained today, we are really in for it! If you are reading this from Wisconsin or Minnesota, perhaps you can tell me all about what we are in for.

So, for the sake of not blowing up or frying my new laptop (which of course I am running on power as the battery has run out), I am keeping this short and sweet. And it seems as if the monitor to our other computer may have already bit the dust, unless a black screen is some new color fad that I am unaware of.

Hopefully such technical difficulties won’t effect the power of the press much longer, but for now anyway, I am turning off everything electrical and running and hiding in the basement!
