What a busy day for a Sunday with no obligations in it! We did 5 loads of laundry, cleaned out the garage and got a start on gathering together and setting up things for our spring garage sale (so, its November - I’m a little early!), hung a shelf and cleaned out a few closets. Not to mention that I worked out on 4 different machines.
Now, I am stiff and sore and feel as if I need hip replacement surgery! My knees are crunching when I take the stairs, and I am walking like a little old lady.
I’m not sure if its the exercising that hugely out of shape me is now doing, or the household labor we are up to - but either way, I now regret being off anti-inflammatories and unable to take aspirin!
Otherwise, its been a quiet and in- home day with no new word about “mom” or otherwise. In fact, I never got out of my sweats/sleep clothes today - and despite how hard we worked, there is something luxurious about being able to stay “undressed” all day! I’m just glad that no one stopped by!
For meals, I made myself a few scrambled eggs for breakfast (Tom had cold cereal), and my fave, chicken livers with onions for both lunch and dinner (leftovers from lunch!) I am sure that I got plenty of protein today, although I can’t say much for many other nutrients. I was sorely short on veggies and any other foods for balance. Perhaps I’ll snack on an apple or an orange later. A fresh pot of flavored decaf is on as I write this, and I will surely work on hydration by having a cup or two once a little time has passed for my liver (the kind I ate, not my actual liver!) to digest. And, chew some vitamins as well, of course.
Tomorrow is casino Monday, and along with this, I hope to maintain the momentum around the house as well. Although I remain only partially employed, I still feel a time crunch to get everything done, that I need and hope to. In fact, I think I’ll drag my weary body around a little longer today, and deal with a few last projects before I crumple into a weary heap tonight. What fun!
