Weight: 234 lbs.
OMG it’s freezing out! Last year when the temperatures dropped in the fall, I had many more pounds of fat on me, and don’t remember feeling this cold! Brrrr!
Just the same, I stopped at some garage sales both on the way into work, and on the way out. I got off early today, so I could! Given that I am paid per diem (hourly, for those of you who aren’t French!), I figure that the crap I bought probably cost me about $50…even if only marked a few cents here and there, if you factor in my lost wages. Sometimes a bargain just isn’t one, but I am too addicted to the “hunt” to care. Or, to care about the fact that it is freezing and rainy out, and I will probably die of pneumonia from my stupidity.
All this for a silk magnolia tree for $3, a few cookbooks (including a great weight watchers crock pot one) at 10 cents each, a free weedwacker for Tom (free because the guy couldn’t be sure it worked), and assorted soaps and other gift type items for a few bucks.
At one point before work, I had to rush back home to lose breakfast, as for some reason the cheese I had nibbled on caused the complete evacuation of breakfast, lunch and dinner from like the last week or so. (It should be interesting to see what I weigh in at tomorrow!).
Otherwise today I’ve eaten a leftover hotdog, a banana, some cashews and coffee. Not exactly healthy, balanced or nutritious foods, but quick and easy as I wind down this hectic week. Tonight Tom and I may head to the casino, and if we do, we’re sure to take in the buffet. And I will be sure to supplement this poor excuse for nutrition, with some greens and other decent(er) items. And, if we do go, we plan to run through as I we have been (locally, anyway), and hopefully return quickly and with some profit from our “free” playing money. And, to check that we remain in decent standing with them, as no doubt they will soon “write us out of their will” for the way we’ve turned the tables on them in the last few months. We are currently concerned that they may have dried us up - and figure that it is best to know this today, if so, rather than to wait til Monday’s “double day” when we plan to bring guests with us, to find out. (And I know that this answer will be of particular interest to Barb, for reasons I won’t disclose here!)
So…not much else to muse about today, and as to getting on better track - I am looking to early next week for that because we still have a few more days of hedonistic, craziness to “enjoy” and I figure it is best to be serious about diet and exercise when I’m not so busy being bad instead!
