Necessary Mutilation

Today I start work late, and then work into the evening. As I am worried that this will make my post awful late, I have decided not just to post before work instead, but also to put up some random questions that I often wonder about. I am curious as to whether others fill such precious brain space with such ridiculous musings and, if so, whether anyone has come to any conclusions about any of these questions.
