Necessary Mutilation

Weight: 255 lbs.

Today is a momentous occassion, as my weight loss has finally exceeded my age by a pound! If only I were older — LOL.  Most people probably celebrate the even numbers like 50 or 100, but I get to make merry a little early by my equation!

Today I have felt less depressed and more “normal” (note the word more!) as the mess with the Center is no longer so omnipresent. I feel some sense of peace that I now have a plan, plus I did call Quest and will be able to move forward to have my blood drawn. Unfortunately, “Venus” is no longer available as she rarely fills in for them as she used to, so I was convinced by the nice Quest supervisor to give two other highly-recommended phlebotomists at the site near us a try. The are full time there, and if they are as good and compassionate and patient as she cracks them up to be, this could solve my anxiety about whether and how I will manage to find “Venus” in time for when my workup is due.
