Wow — I seem to be losing weight despite myself lately. I wonder if it relates to my conscious effort to eat as much protein as possible these days. Remember that container of Old Country Buffet food? Well, it lasted until last night, allowing me several servings of broiled fish and chicken and other tasty protein items. Later I had a cheese stick for added measure. It’s not even that I have been limiting portions much — actually I have been eating heartily, but mostly of high-quality proteins. Who knows, maybe that is the key for my system. I know that in the support groups people do often advise that the more protein that can be consumed, the faster one tends to lose. So, we’ll have to see if I’m really on a protein roll here, and I’ll do my best to stay true to this concept as an experiement for us all.
