Rapid Weight Loss, My Fat Foot!

Weight: 285

I continue to feel energetic and spry despite the fact that this supposedly “rapid weight loss stage” isn’t so rapid at all.

Nonetheless, I FEEL lighter, and I have surprisingly good energy now.

I had hoped to introduce the treadmill into my day’s routines rather than just relying on shuffling around the house as my primary source of exercise, but never got around to it. I need to make more of an effort to prioritize walking, and the fact that I haven’t may have something to do with my weight stagnation (I am guessing). This may sound stupid, but part of why I haven’t walked more is because I can’t wear a bra right now due to the catheter sticking out of my chest, and the thought of me jiggling my way throughout the neighborhood, is a frightful consideration. It’ll have to be the treadmill I guess. Excuses, excuses!

In other news, my sweet friend Nancee stopped by yesterday with homemade get well cards from her kids, and some magazines to occupy me. We visited briefly and caught up a little, and it was nice to see her - although I remain self conscious about my slovenly, mostly always at home, braless appearance, and probably should be called first before anyone subject themselves to such atrocities.

Later in the evening, Tom was thrilled when I said I felt up to a night out, and we ran off for an evening over the Fort Erie border to Slots.  I did my best to contain my bosom appropriately, and spiffed myself up as best as I could recall one should when they actually enter the “real world”.

Surprising, I maintained my good energy even into the wee hours, as we played the machines, enjoyed the change of scenery, and even ate “dinner” there.

I ordered the broiled fish with mashed potatoes and coleslaw, and ate most of the two little fillets, a tiny bite of potato, and a little of the coleslaw (although I shouldn’t have cabbage as the vitamin K in it supposedly interferes with my coumadin).

Once again, I kept it all down, and felt fine.

Although tasty and nourishing, the fact that I CAN eat so much at this early stage AND that I am hardly losing, does make me wonder if the doctor really did staple my stomach at all or if he left me a larger pouch than he should have. Why can I eat more than the 2 ounces that my pouch is supposed to be, and why am I practically eating “solids” already without problems (except lack of weight loss?!)

I REALLY must call the nutritionalist this week!!!
